As long as it’s an Android device it should be able to run the KrakenSDR app. But double check that these can actually install third party apps, and that they have a way to connect to the internet.
Seems more complicated…
Now that I’ve got it spread all over my desk again, the phone is needed to provide a wifi hotspot for the pi, and the app goes through that interface, so the screen would have to provide that hotspot.
You can also connect to a hotspot generated by the Pi. But you would need to initially connect that device to the internet and download offline maps.
