No Connection to SDR

I have everything working on a Pi4 and I can see the web interface fine on a computer and the Android app. The Pi4 is the hotspot in my configuration. I am unable to make the SDR connect in the GUI. I have verified plenty of power, swapped Pi4’s, swapped USB A to C cables, and tried a new image to no avail. I have read the troubleshooting tips and what others have posted but I am still stumped. Are there any other suggestions I should try? Thanks in advance.

Have you run the troubleshooting steps from the wiki involving rtl_test? What were the results?

Here is what I have.

That’s definitely not good.

For some reason tuner instance 1 didn’t initialize, and also your tuner 0 isn’t getting read.

Most of the time when this happens it’s a power supply or cable issue.

Can I please know what power supply you are using? (model number, or a photo of the specs would help).

Presently a canakit.com per attached.

Ordered a 3 ft cable. Presently 6 ft. Thanks for your guidance. We’ll see what that does tomorrow. Also receiving today a power analyzer for the USB C side to see what is going on if anything.

Gary

Voltage tested out at exactly 5 vdc with a draw of 0.9 amps.

The power supply looks good to me. I’m assuming it’s dedicated to the Kraken, and not powering both the Pi and Kraken together?

Correct. Two individual identical supplies. Will test a 3 ft cable tmw. After that I’ve run out of ideas.

Replacing the USB A to C cable with a 3 footer allowed everything to connect and run perfectly. Lesson learned. Thanks again for your assistance. Now we begin the mobile testing.
