To prevent corruption of the sd card, the rpi should go through the shutdown process before power is removed. It’s my understanding this could be accomplished by a physical button to momentarily ground gpio 3 which activates a built in software routine in the pi. It would be much better if the V2 browser hmi could initiate shutdown, especially in mobile operation.
UPDATE: the gpio 3 method isn’t inherently supported in the rpi 5, but the rpi can be configured to use it. Rpi 5 supports a shutdown button on the (super tiny
) connector next to it’s usb-c power connector.
It would be even better if all the KrakenSDR “v1” System window features (shutdown, reboot, display version number, etc.) were included in V2.
