Hi,
I have the same situation, as soon the Pi5 connect to the phone, 1.5 mins later it disconnect, if you try to connect to the main page: nothing happen.
Actually, the first time I connected, the Kraken hardware wasn’t connected and it work… well, no data of course.
Once I shut down all and power up the hardware then the Pi5 as suppose too, it never really worked.
Here is what I find out:
The MegaFile location:
Have the June 18 update, but when you download it actually is the March version.
When you use the GoogleDrive:
Blockquote Link Deleted for fist time message.
It still the March version even it is clear on the file list.
Blockquote Link Deleted for fist time message.
I used 64Gb Sandisk with Belana and Raspberry OS installer and still the same results.
I do power the Kraken hardware first, wait about 1 minute, start the phone hotspot again wait 1 min and then power up the Pi5. I wait for 2 mins and I can see the Pi5 had connected for about 26 secs… then the red light on the Pi5 stay lite and cannot open up the web page to use.
Hope that help… someone!
Richard.
Can you elaborate a little on why you believe the June version is actually the March version? I just double checked and burned that image, and it is indeed the June update.
Either way, the March version should be working just fine too. The June version just adds Tak support and nothing about the way it connects is different. There’s nothing special about how the Pi 5 connects to the WiFi hotspot, it’s just setup using the standard Pi 5 network manager tools.
How are you connecting to the Pi 5, via mobile hotpot, or the hotspot generated by the Pi 5? If it stops connecting to the webserver at 1.5 minutes, I would check that your phone isn’t changing your connection to something else.
