Kraken application Android

Since the update of the Kraken application on Android in July when I press on the map on “navigate here” the application closes.
I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 tablet Android version 14
any idea?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for reporting. We’re aware of this issue. This version was a simple update to the latest Google API which is forced by Google, but this new API appears to be causing issues.

We’re currently working on a fix, hopefully it will be done soon.

Thank you for your quick reply.
For now, I am using my smartphone. Which works very well.
But the tablet is much more practical.

Same issue for me. On the full size Galaxy tablet, the app starts and works as it always has but recently the heatmap and bearing lines stopped showing. Everything works perfect though on the iPhone although its a little less practical.

@jpaleczny What do you mean by the iPhone being less practical?

@jpaleczny Which version number of the Android app are you using? Can you provide any other details?

Can you confirm that you are not testing with “Pause at low speed” turned on?

Android app version 3.6.9. Logging mode is set to “Log Everything”

Can you try uninstalling the app, and reinstalling it? At the moment I can’t replicate this issue.

When you press the start DOA arrow, does it turn green? And can you access the Krakensdr server setting page from the android phone?

The app has now been reinstalled. When I press the DOA arrow, it turns green immediately. I can access the Kraken server settings from the Android tablet.

The app has now been reinstalled. I get a good indication on the spectrum and doa estimation but on the map, I still see no heat map nor bearing lines. And the arrow immediately turns green.

Thanks. Very strange. The dev is looking into it now, but I don’t believe he’s been able to replicate it yet.

Hi folks,

Same problem here. Some data from spectrum and DOA stimation, but my map nothing is showed. If I click on DOA arrow only a message: “No estimated point yet”.
Android app version 3.6.9
My cellphone is a Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC
I tried on a iPad but the same issue on it.

Best regards,

Antonio

This sounds like a different issue if you’re also not getting it on iOS. Did you have it working in the past, or is this your first time?

Did you enter the IP address of the KrakenSDR in the app, and also enable Log Everything in the app?

Forget about it.
I put it to work properly.
Things that I do wrong:

The antennas cables I put correctly on antennas, but wrong on the krakensdr :sob:;

Try to get some data with the car stopped😶‍🌫️;

And some others things that makes me very shame to mention here hehehe.

Thanks you all.

Antonio
