DOA Feature Request- correlate Image version numbers?

There seems to be no correlation between references to Version numbers. for example
The github Code page for the latest DOA release says “Pi Image File v1.5”,
The download for this image is “krakensdr_pi4_220323.img.xz” (no mention of “v1.5”),
At bootup the pi console displays “Linux krakensdr 5.15.33-v8+ #1540 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr 11 13:18:30 BST 2022 aarch64” (no mention of “v1.5” or “220323”).

It’s very helpful you’ve added the “vN.NN” indicator in the web Config Tab System Control box , but is there some reason not to include an identical version reference in all the other three places? Thanks.

Recent versions added the code version number to the System Control Box already. But yes the img is defined by the date it’s written, and the code has it’s own version. Because the image is not just the code, a new image could just contain changes to the Raspbian OS settings or packages.

“Linux krakensdr 5.15.33-v8+ #1540 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr 11 13:18:30 BST 2022 aarch64” ← This is just the OS information, nothing to do with the code on the system.
