Hi everyone,
Im a ecologist specializing in bats in the Netherlands. For research into bats we are using quite a lot of radio telemetry these days. Bats get caught and we attach small 150 MHs transmitters to their backs to track their movements and find their roosting locations etc. At the moment they are mostly tracked using directional antennas attached to the roof of cars. The Kraken SDR seems like an amazing tool to make the tracking of these bats a lot easier and quicker. Since I’m very inexperienced with SDR and code I’m wondering if it would be a feasible solution for us. Before I invest in equipment I was wondering if there are any people with a kraken in the Netherlands that would like to go on a test run with me and track down some bats for a couple of hours.
