Android app NO GPS location

Hello,

I’m facing a problem with the KrakenSDR android app.
The GPS is not working and the app cannot locate myself.
Then because of this, almost nothing works within the app.

Basically, the location service is on for about 3 or 4 seconds like this.

Then after a few seconds the location service notification is gone.

It feels like the kraken app stoped acquiring position data.

I’m living in China.
This is a unlocked Xiaomi with LinageOS and Gapps installed.
Kraken was installed with google play.

Can you confirm what mode “Heading Sensor” is set to in your settings?

The app requires Google Location Services to function. Can you check if Google maps works?

I have a chinese wife, and i have been alot i China, and google etc dont work. Everything is blocked. When im there, i use a paid VPN. But cant buy that in china, so i buy in Hongkong. And use it in China.

It works!
I double checked the location related permissions.
Now I can get the current location.
Maybe it is due to the lack of network connection, GPS takes longer to get a fix.
And I have another Xiaomi with stock OS. It never works.
Now with cached map, I will try go out and hunt.

Yeah, we do have to get an unblocking solution some or other.

Yes without a mobile network connection GPS will be much slower to get a fix.
