We have had a jammer running amok on our GMRS repeater for the last several months so we purchased the KakenSDR so that some of our more ‘techy’ friends could use it to locate the jammer.
This repeater covers hundreds of Sq. miles and because the jammer would only key up for a few seconds at a time, and only for very short periods, it took them almost 2 weeks to narrow down the source so they could get within simplex/receiving range of him - but once they did, it took less than hour for the Kraken to lead them right to his front yard. It works!
